Practice fee
Fee you have to pay when visiting a doctor or hospital.
Statutorily insured people over the age of 18 have to pay a fee of 10 Euro for the first utilization of health care services each quarter when visiting a doctor, dentist or psychotherapist. This also includes out-patient treatment at a hospital.
No practice fee has to be paid for the regular health checkups, the yearly checkup visits at your dentist and for vaccinations recommended by the STIKO (Ständige Impfkommission beim Robert-Koch Institut, Permanent Vaccination Commission at the Robert-Koch Institution).
