I have a mini-job, do I have to pay contributions?
As a rule, if you have a mini-job and earn no more than 603 EUR per month, you do not need to pay any contributions towards health and long-term care insurance from this income. This rule also applies if you have several mini-jobs and continue to earn less than this amount. If, however, you earn more, your income is then subject to social security contributions.Important: if you have a mini-job or a temporary job where you earn below this limit, you must have health and long-term care insurance elsewhere, for example via free family insurance. This is because you are not covered by health and long-term care insurance through the mini-job itself.
