I’m working while I study. What kind of health insurance cover do I need? As long as the majority of your time and work are dedicated to your studies, you can remain insured as a student, even if you work part-time. However, there are different types of employment.
Mini-jobYou are allowed to earn up to 603€ a month, no matter how many hours you work.Temporary employmentThe job is limited from the start to a maximum of three months (70 working days) per year. Therefore, if you have a temporary job, you can remain insured as a student.Working studentsIt does not matter how much you earn, as long as the following regulations are adhered to:You do not work more than 20 hours per week.If the 20-hour week limit is exceeded through weekend employment, evening or night hours or during holidays (semester holidays), the following must be taken into consideration:You have a limited employment relationship and are not employed for more than a total of 26 weeks with a working week of more than 20 hours in a year.Do you have several jobs?
