This means you can access our online services, such as the insurance certificate for your doctor’s surgery, even when you’re on the go.
The doctor's surgery requests the certificate from us electronicallySince 1 July 2025, doctors’ practices can request replacement certificates directly from us electronically. To do this, you must give your consent to the practice. Just let your doctor know and we will send the certificate in encrypted form via a highly secure network.The benefits at a glanceThe practice has your insurance data immediately.You will not normally need to submit your health card to the practice at a later date.Everything is done digitally, securely and without any paperwork.Important: In principle, you can submit your health insurance card at a later date. However, if you do not do so within 10 days, your doctor may charge you privately for the treatment. They must, however, refund the fee paid if you present your health insurance card at the surgery by the end of the quarter.
