Dr Jens Baas
Dr Jens Baas is the Chairman of Board of Directors.
At TK, he is responsible for the Brand and Marketing, Finance and Controlling, Information Technology, Corporate Development, and Policy and Communications divisions and is head of the Supervisory Board. He is also in charge of the internal auditing.He has been a member of the TK Board of directors since 1 January 2011 and was appointed as Chairman of the Board on 1 July 2012.Dr Baas (born in 1967) earned his degree in Human Medicine at the University of Heidelberg (Germany) and the University of Minnesota (USA) and held positions as a physician in the Surgery Departments of the Heidelberg and Münster University Hospitals in Germany.In 1999, he joined the world-renowned management consultancy firm Boston Consulting Group, becoming a Partner and Managing Director there in 2007. As an established expert in the health care system and statutory health insurance, his focus was on working with service providers and the pharmaceutical and medical technology industries.
