Accessibility statement – TK-Coach app Here you will find important information about the accessibility of the TK-Coach app.
Techniker Krankenkasse is committed to making the TK-Coach app accessible to all users. This statement is based on a test conducted by an external service provider and a self-assessment. It applies to the TK-Coach app in the App Store and Play Store, version 1.9.0 (Android) & 1.9.1 (iOS) from December 2025.Non-accessible contentThe following app content is not yet accessible:Registration & formsOn Android devices, selection lists on the Registration page cannot yet be optimally operated with an active screen reader. This may make registration difficult at present. After filling in form fields, blind users cannot immediately tell whether their entries are correct or incorrect. The screen reader does not yet automatically output error messages. On iOS devices, links in switch button labels cannot currently be accessed or activated, e.g., in Settings > User Consent and Registration > Notice before Start.MultimediaThe media player does not yet have controls for activating or deactivating audio description. This means that blind users are currently unable to fully access visual content.Videos lack controls for subtitles. Hearing-impaired users therefore currently have limited access to content.Recorded videos do not yet offer audio description or transcripts. As such, blind, visually impaired and cognitively impaired people can only partially access the content.Podcasts are currently available without a text alternative. This means that deaf users are currently unable to fully understand the content.Content & structureSome images, graphical controls and information-oriented graphics do not yet contain complete alternative texts. In structured content, some heading elements are missing; the reading order of the screen reader sometimes does not correspond to the visual structure or the focus jumps unexpectedly after actions. Some texts, labels, error messages and control elements do not yet meet the optimal contrast ratio. Some components do not yet provide all the necessary semantic information (name, role, properties).Usability & customisationSome content and functions are currently only available to a limited extent via keyboard. The focus for interactive elements is not always optimally visible.Landscape mode and dark mode are currently only supported to a limited extent. This makes them difficult to use on certain devices and for users who are sensitive to glare.Display errors may occur with very large text sizes (200% and above).Accessibility will be improved gradually with regular releases. This statement was created on 16 December 2025.
