You have several options: you can choose to deliver your baby in a hospital, a birth centre or at home. A midwife is always your primary contact person.

One option to find a midwife is to consult your gynaecologist. Midwifery units, birth centres and hospitals can also provide referrals and contact information. Or you can use the Hebammensuche [midwife search service] offered by the Spitzenverband der Krankenkassen [German National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Funds] (only available in German).
