TK-Online­Con­sul­ta­tion – remote treat­ment for TK members

TK-OnlineConsultations allow doctors to treat insurees via a video consultation in the TK-Doc app.

The TK-OnlineConsultation service is available to all TK members who wish to receive medical advice in a remote consultation. The digital consultation is conducted in the TK-Doc app. Before booking an appointment, various treatment requests can be selected. These include skin abnormalities, colds and flu and back pain. 

The doctors decide in each individual case whether remote treatment is medically justifiable. If the symptoms are not suitable for remote treatment, insurees receive advice on the appropriate care for them (family doctor, medical on-call service or emergency doctor).

In addition to the TK-FamilyMediCall service , the TK-Doc app also offers fully digitalised remote consultations for children 

Sick note

If necessary, doctors can issue an Arbeitsunfähigkeitsbescheinigung [statement of fitness for work] for up to 3 days for adults and children. 

Where do I submit the doctor's note to receive child sick pay?

Prescription

If necessary, prescriptions for prescription medication can also be issued. You can get your health insurance prescriptions using your eHealth card or the TK-App. You can redeem private prescriptions digitally in the TK-Doc app at local pharmacies. 

Doctor's letter

A summary of the video consultation is available digitally in the TK-Doc app on request. You can find the doctor's letter in the "Past consultations" feature.

How the TK-OnlineConsultation works 

  1. Download the TK-Doc app:

    Apple App Store 

    Google Play Store 

  2. Register with your insurance details.
  3. Select "TK-OnlineConsultation" and choose the appropriate reason for treatment. Then select yourself or your child as the person to be treated. After your medical history has been taken digitally, the video consultation will begin. 

Note: Since the authentication process is completely digital, to access this feature, you will be directed automatically to the German-language " Meine TK " members’ area. If you are not yet a member, you will need to register here. "Meine TK" members need only enter their login data. In addition, the smsTAN procedure must be activated in "Meine TK".
