In 2007, Fan Tan came to Germany from Shandong, a province in East China. The young woman attended Paderborn University, continuing her mechanical engineering studies, which she had started in China. After completing her master’s degree, she and her husband established the International Education Institute in Paderborn. At the institute, she advises Chinese students in the examination phase.
